Building a Brand Intelligence Platform for an AI-Native Enterprise Technology Company

The Requirement

An AI-native enterprise technology company was building a brand intelligence platform for marketing and strategy teams.

The platform needed to bring large volumes of social data together and convert them into structured insights that could help teams understand:

  • brand sentiment and perception;
  • competitor positioning;
  • campaign and content themes;
  • audience signals;
  • emerging conversations and trends.

The requirement was to build the product foundation behind this intelligence layer, covering everything from data collection and processing to analysis and the dashboards through which users consume the insights.

It also needed to be built as an evolving SaaS product rather than a one-time reporting tool, allowing new capabilities and intelligence modules to be added as the product developed.

Our Role

We worked as the external product engineering and delivery team behind the platform, supporting it from architecture and MVP development through ongoing iterations.

Our scope included:

  • product and technical architecture;
  • SaaS application development;
  • social data scraping and ingestion workflows;
  • multi-channel data aggregation;
  • AI and analysis workflows;
  • sentiment and brand intelligence features;
  • competitor and campaign analysis;
  • analytics dashboard development;
  • frontend and backend engineering;
  • QA and release coordination;
  • ongoing product enhancements.

We worked closely with their team as an extension of their internal capability, taking ownership of engineering and delivery while they continued to lead the product and business direction.

The Solution

We built a SaaS platform that brings social data collection, processing, analysis and intelligence into one connected product.

At the backend, the platform collects information from multiple social sources and brings it into a structured data layer where it can be processed and analysed.

The overall flow works across:

Social Data Collection → Data Processing & Aggregation → AI-Led Analysis → Brand & Competitor Intelligence → Dashboard Insights

From Social Data to Usable Intelligence

Raw social data by itself has limited value. The system needed to organise that information around the brands, competitors and themes users actually wanted to understand.

The platform therefore brings together workflows for:

  • collecting social data;
  • organising information across brands and competitors;
  • analysing sentiment;
  • identifying recurring themes;
  • tracking competitor activity;
  • analysing campaign conversations;
  • surfacing audience and trend signals.

The analysed information is then presented through dashboards so marketing and strategy teams can move from individual posts and conversations to a broader view of what is happening around their brand.

Building the Product Beyond the Dashboard

The work extended beyond visualising data.

The platform required the underlying engineering needed to repeatedly:

  • ingest new information;
  • process and organise incoming data;
  • run the relevant analysis;
  • associate insights with the right brand or competitor;
  • make those insights accessible through the SaaS application.

This meant building the data and application workflows behind the intelligence experience, rather than creating dashboards over manually prepared reports.

Built to Evolve

The initial MVP established the foundation for the product, but the architecture needed to support continued development as new requirements emerged.

The product was therefore structured to accommodate the addition of new:

  • data sources;
  • brands and competitors;
  • analysis capabilities;
  • intelligence modules;
  • dashboards and views;
  • user requirements.

The MVP was approved, and the platform has continued to evolve through subsequent development cycles.

Operational Outcome

The platform gives marketing and strategy teams a more structured way to understand what is happening across the social landscape without manually piecing information together from multiple channels.

It brings brand, competitor and audience intelligence into one environment where users can:

  • review brand sentiment;
  • track competitor activity and positioning;
  • identify recurring campaign and content themes;
  • surface audience signals;
  • spot emerging trends;
  • access intelligence through a central SaaS platform.

For the client, the engagement also created an external engineering capability that could take responsibility for architecture, development, QA and ongoing product delivery without requiring the complete product engineering function to be built internally.

The result is an evolving brand intelligence product supported from MVP through continued development, with the engineering and delivery layer operating as an extension of the client’s own team
